How to Order

  • Select the style and size you feel is most appealing and suitable for your specific needs.  Each product page includes all the standard mounting options and accessories.
  • Consider ways to enhance the beauty of your fixture by selecting from the mounting choices and accessories.
  • Specify the type socket style for electric lanterns or the gas type for gas fixtures.  You must specify Natural Gas or Propane, the tips are different.
  • When ordering a hanging lantern, be sure to know your ceiling height where the lantern will be mounted and how high off the floor your lantern should be.
  • Local codes generally require a minium of 12" of clearance between the lantern stack and any combustible ceiling material.  Some codes require 18", which we also recommend.  Heat leaving the top of the lantern can reach temperatures of 400-500 degrees.   A yoke type ceiling mount adds about 6" to the height of the light before the stem is added that connects to the ceiling plate.   Example: A 20" Lantern with a ceiling yoke will have 6" of clearance over the stack and adding a 12" stem will result in a lantern that is 39" in height with the canopy attached, giving you the required 18" of clearance to the ceiling.  These lanterns are very hot to the touch and we recommend that they never be installed lower than 7' off the floor as a ceiling mount.  Maintan safe distances off the floor when mounting them on walls or using them on pier mounts on decks or fence posts.  Keep small children in mind.
  • Check with your local code office also for side clearances or any other regulations covering open flame gas appliances before you order.
